It's my favorite monochrome style. Plus, it's easier than actually colorizing things in their actual colors. Burwick isn't actually yellow. He's more of a gray. So is Renji Paziko. But Renji has yellow eyes while Burwick has green.
What I do is I go to grayscale then switch back to RGB color. That way, any residual colors left over from the webcam are gone. Then I burn the image to bring out the details. Then I give it four or five coats of various browns. The default swatches are found at the lower-most left-most corner of the swatch window in Photoshop. The ones I use are the first three. First, a coat of the lightest shade. Then, a coat the next darkest one. Then, two or more coats of the darkest one after that. Then I use dodge on the character and/or certain other elements or shapes, leaving the background a nice chocolatey color. The net effect gives it an aged parchment lo0k which I totally dig.

The color of JtHM #3 is what gave me the inspirado. There's also an excellent perspective pic of Johnny buring something in his backyard that had the glowing-eyes-in-the-dark motif.

I THOUGHT that looked so familiar, but I couldn't place it...thank you I'm glad someone else has heard of JtHM! Isn't he just the best? And he's so RIGHT! I only wish I had half the guts to kill all the stupid people in the world...I'm glad he always gets away with it
He isn't exactly a vigilante, though, since some of the people he kills don't really deserve it. And I don't agree with his views on firearms. I'm a gun-nutter.

Aaaa, as far as I can figure, they all deserve it. They all prolly did something at one point to deserve it...and he's just helping make the world a better place! But it's just a bit of fun anyway, huh?
What about that glasses-wearing guy at the beginning of issue #2? Nny even says that he only chose him out of convenience because the wall needed blo0d and there was no time to find anyone else.

Got some unscannable artwork? Own a camera but no scanner? Here's a guide of things to consider in order to effectively take quality photographs of your work. [A tutorial by `fox-orian]
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
