I have a hard time cho0sing just one favorite weapon. I've practiced with all of them. In unmodded (vanilla) SoC, I'd say my favorite rifle for all-around use is the SIG SG-556. If it's region-specific, I tend to stick with particular calibers. For all pre-Bar areas, it's 5.45 all the way. And I'll use any of those. AKS-74, AKS-74U, AN-94. I don't usually use special weapons like the Groza 545 (aka Thunder or "Tunder" which has to be a typo) or the Storming Obokan (AN-94). In Yantar, Professor Sakharov sells AN-94s cheap, so there's always a supply of those handy.

My favorite region is Yantar for its snork and zombie population, Rostok Wilds for its all-around mutant population, and any place fleshes dwell (like the Dark Valley).

It's fun to hunt snorks with pistols. My favorite sport in the Zone.

Yes! With those LeverEvolution rounds you talked about. Oh and some black-powder guns would be fun too. Also more bolt actions. I know that one guy made a Mosin but I haven't figured out how to splice it with OL and Arsenal.
